Land Acknowledgement
McMaster University, the home of maskevidence.org’s editor-in-chief and of the Cloth Mask Knowledge Exchange, lies on the traditional territories recognized with the Dish with One Spoon Wampum, a treaty between the Haudenosaunee and the Anishinaabe peoples that reminds all to share and conserve our common resources. Later, the land was subject to the Between the Lakes Treaty of 1792, between the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Crown. Indigenous people have walked these lands for millennia. We recognize their values and their teachings and apply them in our work: wisdom, love, respect, bravery, honesty, humility and truth.

The academic team listed below contributed to either published evidence review or scholarly review of different parts of the website at different times. We are affiliated with the Cloth Mask Knowledge Exchange, a stakeholder group dedicated to the promotion, design and evaluation of better reusable masks for wear in the community. Members of Cloth Mask Knowledge Exchange are listed below. Between 2020 to 2021 this website was translated into multiple languages thanks to volunteer translators, who are listed below, together with the volunteers who created infographics and visual abstracts, researched historic masks, sewed early mask prototypes for research testing, and provided photographs
